We strive to capture comprehensive, high-quality data during on-site surveys, resulting in datasets that can be extremely large. While these original, raw files ensure the highest fidelity, they may also be challenging to download, open, or integrate into your systems or reports.

If you experience difficulties due to file size, we can provide complimentary file size reduction options. Please note that this process involves lowering the resolution of the images, and as a result, the overall data quality will be reduced. However, it can significantly improve accessibility, integration, and performance on your hardware.

We offer multiple data storage options to accommodate a wide range of requirements. By default, we retain your files for one year, but this duration can be adjusted as needed. Beyond simply storing your data, we can provide tailored hosting solutions, including panorama hosting, virtual tour hosting, 3D model hosting, and more. These flexible options ensure that your content remains accessible, well-maintained, and easy to share.

We recognise that delivering data can be challenging due to factors such as company firewall policies, data size, and available download speeds. To address these issues, we offer multiple delivery methods tailored to your needs, including:

• Alternate delivery portals (e.g. OneDrive, Dropbox, WeTransfer)
• Physical file delivery on a USB drive
• Self-hosted options, allowing you or your company to host, edit, and manage files on your own infrastructure
• Secure FTP or SFTP access for larger data sets
• Password-protected direct download links
• Integration with your existing content management systems or workflows

We produce a variety of digital media depending on your project. In some cases, you may need additional software to view certain files. We recommend the following free viewing options:

Images:
We advise downloading the image pack to your local device and using your operating system’s default photo viewer. If you encounter issues, we recommend using (Free) nomacs, an open-source photo viewer.

Videos:
Some videos may require additional codecs. These can typically be obtained through your operating system’s app store, or you can install (Free) VLC Media Player to view almost any video format.

PDF:
You can view PDF files directly in your default web browser or, alternatively, download (Free) Adobe Acrobat Reader.

3D Models:
Some 3D models are specialised and may only open in certain applications. If you need guidance, please contact us. For a free open-source option, we recommend (Free) F3D.

ZIP Files:
We often compress files into ZIP format for easier download. Most operating systems include a built-in extractor, but if you require a third-party tool, we suggest (Free) 7-Zip.

Point Clouds:
Point cloud files appear in various formats and require specialised software. The industry standard is (Free) CloudCompare, which supports a wide range of point cloud formats.

KML/KMZ Files:
These Google Earth files can be opened with many programs; the simplest is (Free) Google Earth.
